Elijah Caudill: A Troubling Timeline of Criminal Behavior
Elijah Caudill, 24, has recently made headlines for a series of criminal activities.
In August 2021, Caudill was charged with felony menacing after he attacked a man with a knife. He later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge and served two years in jail, followed by two years of probation. Unfortunately, he violated probation requirements multiple times.
In late 2023, Caudill was involved in a series of incidents, including groping a woman at the Denver Cares Detox Facility and assaulting two inmates. He was released from Denver jail two months before stabbing four people in the 16th Street Mall area in January 2025.
Caudill's public record dates back to 2019 with an arrest for stealing baseball cards that was eventually dropped. His criminal behavior escalated over time, leading to numerous charges and convictions.
The recent stabbings in January 2025 resulted in the deaths of two victims, including flight attendant Celinda Levno. The other two victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Caudill was arrested shortly after the fourth stabbing.
These tragic events highlight the importance of addressing mental health needs within the criminal justice system, as Caudill was under the assistance of a state program designed to support mentally ill inmates.
