Early Life and Background
Nishesh Basavareddy, a name that has recently become synonymous with rising talent in the tennis world, was born on May 2, 2005. This 19-year-old American, with roots tracing back to Nellore in Andhra Pradesh, India, has captured the hearts of tennis enthusiasts globally. Nishesh's parents, Muralikrishna and Sai Prasanna, moved to the United States in 1999, settling first in San Francisco and then in Southern California, where Nishesh was born.
The Basavareddy family’s journey continued when they moved to central Indiana due to professional commitments. It was here that Nishesh found his calling for tennis, inspired by his father, a tennis enthusiast, and his elder brother, Nishanth, who also played tennis. Nishesh started showing interest in the sport at a very young age, and his dedication soon became evident.

Nishesh’s junior career was marked by his remarkable talent and perseverance. He trained under coach Bryan Smith and received mentorship from former doubles World No. 1 Rajeev Ram, an Indiana native.
